Mayor and City Council

The Leander City Council regularly meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers of the Pat Bryson Municipal Hall located at 201 N. Brushy Street in Leander, Texas. The City Council responsibilities include:

• Legislative functions of the City
• Establishing the tax rate
• Approving the budget
• Planning for capital improvements
• Adopting all city ordinances
• Selecting citizens to serve on City boards and commissions
• Approving the issuance and selling of municipal bonds
• Purchasing and selling property
• Appointing the City Manager
• Working closely with the City Manager to formulate the City's annual program
